In the festive run-up to Christmas, we would like to invite you to a conversation about how Polish culinary traditions build their visibility and significance in a globalised world.
On Monday, 15 December 2025, at 6 p.m., at the Polish Academy of Sciences Centre in Rome, we will be hosting an event dedicated to the book The Pierogi Problem: Cosmopolitan Appetites and the Reinvention of Polish Food.
The authors – Fabio Parasecoli, Agata Bachórz and Mateusz Halawa – show how traditional dishes become a space for negotiating identity, memory, and cultural visibility.
